How we rate Cancun rooftop pools
How the list is ranked, where the facts come from and what a gap means.
Checked 2 November 2026
How the list is ranked
We rank the pools by how easily you can swim, then by the pool, the view, the season and the price. A hotel that sells a day pass with a published price sits above one that says nothing. Google ratings come last, and they score the whole stay, not the pool.
What the labels mean
- A fact with no label comes from the hotel or from a seller of its passes.
- "Not published" means the hotel doesn't say. It is not a no.
- A date on a page is the day we last checked its facts.
Where the facts come from
Each hotel page ends with its sources. The hotel's own site comes first, then pass sellers and booking pages. Google Maps gives the ratings and phone numbers.
When we update
We recheck prices and access rules and change the date on the page when we do. If a fact has changed, email info@cancunrooftoppools.com and we will look at it.
Who pays for this
We earn a commission on bookings made through our links. Hotels can't pay for a place on the list or a higher position. The affiliate policy has the detail.
